It generated 6.06 billion in revenue in 2018 and is directed by CEO Harry Sommer and CEO of its parent corporation NCLH Frank Del Rio. parent Corporation NCLH is also the entity that owns sibling lines Oceania Cruises and Regents Seven Seas Cruises.
As of 2020, Norwegian Cruise Lines operated 17 ships around the globe with plans to expand. An additional 6 ships are on order in the new class of vessels based on the newly designed Prima class of ships built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri from secret plans that were given the codename Project Leonardo.
